Hello folks, me again.. with anoter cake recipe.
This time we are making a chocolate meltdown cake like the one on the picture here..

It's not a hard cake to make and i can asure you it is a really tasty treat.

Requirements:

For the base

  • 1 cup of milk
  • 125 grams of butter (room temp)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 4 spoons of cacao powder
  • 1/2 spoon of vanilla powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of flower
  • 1 spoon of baking powder
  • Walnuts (5-6)

For the glaze

  • 4 spoons of cacao powder
  • 4 spoons of molten butter
  • 5 spoons of water (cold)
  • 8 spoons of powder sugar

Now lets get down to business..

On low fire mix the milk, butter, sugar, the vanilla and the cacao powder until they melt together (keep mixing them with a wooden spoon). Once this is done put it on the side and let it sit.

Take a big bowl and mix there the eggs, flower and the baking powder. Mix it until you get a smooth (a bit hard) of a mixture. Now poor the hot chocolate mix into the bowl, add the walnuts and continue mixing everything.

Take a cake form and poor everything in it and bake this at 180 degrees celcius for about 30minutes.

Now for the glaze you need to mix the cacao powder, butter, water and the powder sugar on low fire until they melt together. After that let the glaze cool off a bit.

Once the cake is ready poor the glaze over it with a spoon.. let it all cool a bit and *tadaa* its ready for consumption. Decorate the cake by choice with some cranberries or a mint leaf.

Enjoy your cake!
